MACAW
Majestic bird with scarlet red, yellow and blue plumage on its wings, represented in the Popol Vuh, sacred book of the Mayans, as a superb character called Vucub Caquix, also known as Seven Macaw who went around the earth saying I am the god Sun! However, that was a lie and the true gods, the twins Hunahpú and Ixbalanqué, taught him a lesson: he would pay with his life the insolence of pretending to be a true god.
Currently, in the Las Guacamayas Ranch, located in the rural communities of the municipality of San Nicolás Tolentino, in the state of San Luis Potosí, Mexico, there is one of the most beautiful ecotourism reserves in the world. There, the largest flock of macaws in Mexico is protected, along with the inhabitants.
