Design Inspiration

PUUC ROUTE

Design inspired by the Puuc architectural and decorative style shared by the Mayan cities of Uxmal, Kabáh, Sayil and Labná, cities with civic ceremonial complexes of monumental architecture connected by wide avenues. The Puuc area includes cities located far from rivers and lakes, so it is believed that the decorative carving of enormous masks of Chaac, god of rain, is a way of honoring his presence.
Chaac is represented with a virgule that appears at eye level, between the nose and forehead.
