Design inspired by the pre-Hispanic ceramics of Paquimé, a pre-Columbian city located in Casas Grandes, in the State of Chihuahua. The Paquimé culture is characterized, in addition to its unique earthen architecture, by its manufacture of pottery in black and red colors on a cream-colored background, decorated with geometric motifs such as broken lines, spirals, and the characteristic use of the stepped fretwork used throughout Mesoamerica. These motifs appear mixed with the presentation of some animals such as snakes and birds, thus creating a fractal set of moving shapes on the ceramic.
