Design inspired in the sarape of Saltillo, a rectangular piece of textile, usually made of wool and cotton, with or without a slit opening for the head, and multicolored lines melted like a beautiful rainbow. Its origin is uncertain, but you can find them in several states of the Mexican Republic; they received their name, however, due to the fame they obtained because people went, every year, to the fairs of Saltillo, Coahuila, in the northern part of Mexico to buy fine sarapes. It is an article of clothing for men, with a weave that is thick enough to protect against the rain. The sarape, thereby, combines resistance and color, becoming a true national emblem.
