A design inspired in the ritual dance by the Huahua people, a tradition found in Puebla and Veracruz. This dance is closely related to the ritual performed by the Voladores de Papantla due to the similarities in their red velvet costumes and their workshop of the sun and earth that provide life-sustaining nourishment. The captivating taknó a beautiful, round plumed headpiece adorned with colorful metallic paper strips and feathers, is the centerpiece of this ritual dance. The ritual reaches its climax when the dancers swirl on a pinwheel at an impressing speed to symbolize life and movement or "Nahui Ollin". A design created in collaboration with DEBORAH LIJTZAIN.
